Had the brisket tostada for lunch definitely worth it. Also the lunch tacos were pretty good as well. The beef brisket sandwich was a little dry but their fries made it worth it. Overall will be back.
Today we had a chance to stop by while we were in town for a wedding. This was mine and my wife’s first visit and here is our take on it. Wow! Wow! The whole experience was amazing, from ordering to enjoying the plate of BBQ served to us at the table. We had the Tostada, the Birria taco, stuffed cornbread, the smoked quail, Texas twinkies, pork belly burnt ends, one of the best briskets I have ever eaten and to top off an already amazing lunch we had the banana pudding. Delicious!! Although the Q was amazing Casey the manager was the star of the show. He took care of us like we were royalty. Thank Y’all for showing us what true hospitality and great food is all about. Definitely one of the best Texas Monthly top 50 we have eaten at if not the best.
First time visiting. Got the 1 meat with 2 sides plate: wagyu sausage with green beans n cherizo n potato salad like a twice baked potato. Turkey was nice and smokey, brisket was perfectly smoked and damn good. Street corn was perfect Hache chili mac n cheese was the bomb. Highly recommend.
Every Hurtado location is amazing, and I finally got to visit the Mansfield store tonight! The entire staff was incredibly friendly, and Rene stopped by our table twice to chat, which made the experience even better. As always, the food was phenomenal and the brisket tostada is an absolute must-try!
Brisket and Texas Twinkie both had great flavor and large portions. The Brisket was moist, thick cut with a great bark. The Twinkie had Mexican flavors and was filling. Young man at the counter and the young lady busing tables did a great job!
This place is great. I met a coworker for a business lunch. Our order was taken quickly. Employees were very friendly and professional. The BBQ was out in a reasonable period of time. We split this (picture below): EL JEFE - 1/3 lb each of brisket, pulled pork, spare ribs, turkey, burnt ends and sausage Mac and cheese and Mexican rice for sides). It was hot, very tasty, and the perfect amount of food. Thanks for a great visit!
This is some of the best bbq I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered the El jefe and we’re only able to finish half of it, but it was so damn good We took all of it home. Super nice staff. This is some of the finest BBQ in Texas!
Loved it. This was my 3rd visit to this location. We brought out of town friends here for dinner and Hurtado’s did not disappoint. The ordering line was longish. My wife grabbed a booth while the rest of us stood in line. For our friends, the time in line allowed them plenty of time to study the menu. The four of us ordered: - 1# of Pork Ribs, 1 link Jalapeno Sausage, Tater Tot Casserole and Green Beans - Birria Taco and Cole Slaw - Burger and Hatch Chile Mac and Cheese The ribs were excellent. They’re spare ribs, so they’re fatter than baby backs, but they were seasoned and smoked nicely and were very tasty. The sausage was excellent as well. Just enough heat. The green beans had onions and bacon and were great. The Tater Tot casserole was decent as well. My friend had the Birria taco. She does not care for food that has any spice with heat and surprisingly, she felt it was a bit hot for her - yet she enjoyed her taco. Her husband had the burger and Hatch Chile Mac and cheese and enjoyed both. In addition to the food and just as importantly is the staff at this location. Every single one of them I encountered this visit was very pleasant, seemed very appreciative of us being there and were so helpful. Great attitudes all around. I’m so happy to have a Hurtado’s so close to where our new home will be.
